Access
By car: from Budapest on motorway M3, then on main road no.3 and 35 (200 km, 2,5 hours).
By train: from Budapest with Inter-city train, changing to the Interpici service in Miskolc. Travel from the railway station by taxi (5 minutes).
Hotel description
Tiszaújváros is one of Hungary’s newest towns, as it is just 30 years old. It is situated at the junction of the Rivers Tisza and Sajó, on a beautiful lowland area. It lies halfway between two famous wine districts, Eger and Tokaj.
As well as being a good starting point for trips, the town is ideal for holding conferences and training camps. It is also a stop-off point and destination for those on water trips. Tiszaújváros has been a national sport town since 1995.
The Cívis Hotel Kárpátia is located in the town centre of Tiszaújváros, 3 km from the River Tisza and near to the Thermal Bath and Lido and Tiszaújváros Sports Park.

In a block, there is a double and a triple room, a small entrance-hall and a bathroom with shower and toilet. Extra beds are provided on request. Non-smoking rooms are available.
Dining
The restaurant (70 persons) offers Slovakian and Hungarian specialities, which can be served on the terrace (30 persons) during summer time.

Spa and Therapy
Tiszaújváros THERMAL SPA (1 open-air and 3 indoor thermal basins) and lido (approx. 300m from the hotel), opened in 1999 with complete therapy section: physician examinations, balneotherapy (bath, mud packing, parafango), hydrotherapy (jacuzzi), underwater gymnastics, underwater jet massage, mechanotherapy (gymnastics, medical massage), light therapy, inhalation, electrotherapy.
Water is recognised mineral water with high iodine and bromine content.
INDICATIONS: rheumatic diseases, osteoporosis, post operational treatments, locomotive disorders, post-spinal injury treatment, treatment of arterial limb circulation problems.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: fever, certain skin diseases, inflammatory diseases, coronary disease, iodine allergy, acute arthritis, high blood pressure.
In the 6 ha LIDO are waiting for the guests: sport courts, sun terrace, play grounds and 5 basins: Castle basin for children (climbing frames and slides), Adventur basin (Hill slides, jakuzzi, hydromassage, waterstream), slide basin wave basin, swimming pool (50 m).
Sports
Tiszaújváros has been a national sport town since 1995.
Excellent sports facilities include water sports, riding, swimming, skating, and hockey at “TISZAÚJVÁROS LEISURE CENTRE” (the only ice rink open all year round), while certain parts of the Tisza and the lakes of the area (e.g. the Nyéki Lakes) are outstanding spots for fishing.
AN EUROPEAN STANDARD “SPORTS CENTRE” (equipped for more than 20 kinds of sports) is available to professional sportsmen: indoor stadium and gym, 25 m swimming pool (6 lanes, 1,8 m deep), sauna, hydro-massage pool, athletics and football stadium with covered 2000-seat grandstand, triathlon club house (sauna, jacuzzi, training room, lounge, bicycle service), 2 indoor and 6 outdoor tennis courts, 3 football pitches (2 grass-covered), street-ball and foot-tennis courts, roller skate and skate boond rink, weight-lifting hall (sauna, training room), table tennis hall, kayaking-canoeing training-pool, body-building equipment, entertainment centre.
